University Facilities Information (UFI) maintains a number of GPS receivers that University staff & faculty can take out on loan to assist in the collection of accurate, geo-located data. For example, if your department is completing an inventory of all the trees, benches, light poles or signs on campus, you would use this device to ensure that each specific items location is accurate. Our GPS receivers are accurate at the sub-meter level and are able to connect with your phone, tablet or laptop via Bluetooth for easy data capture. This ensures that your data collection is much more accurate than what could be achieved with just your phone or tablet alone.
